About the Role:
We are seeking a Wind Energy Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize wind energy projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in wind turbine technology, resource assessment, and wind farm development, contributing to the expansion of clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wind resource assessments using tools like WAsP, WindPRO, or OpenWind.
- Design and optimize wind farm layouts for maximum energy yield and minimal wake effects.
- Perform feasibility studies, including site selection, energy production estimates, and financial modeling.
- Collaborate with structural and electrical engineers to ensure turbine reliability and grid compatibility.
- Analyze wind turbine performance data and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, DNV GL) and environmental regulations.
- Support project management in permitting, construction oversight, and commissioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in wind energy (turbine design, wind farm development, or O&M).
- Proficiency in wind modeling software (e.g., WAsP, WindFarmer, CFD tools).
- Knowledge of turbine aerodynamics, gearbox systems, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and performance monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills (Bonus):
- Certification in wind energy (e.g., CWEF, DNV GL training).
- Experience with offshore wind projects.
- Programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for data analysis.
