Waste-to-Energy Process Engineer

Project from the field of environmental engineering is in search of Waste-to-Energy Process Engineer. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize municipal solid waste (MSW) gasification systems for syngas production.
• Develop mass/energy balance models (Aspen Plus/ChemCAD) for anaerobic digestion and thermal conversion.
• Ensure compliance with EPA Subtitle D (40 CFR 258) for landfill diversion strategies.
• Lead pilot-scale testing of plasma arc treatment for hazardous waste streams.
• Perform lifecycle assessment (LCA) to quantify carbon footprint reductions.

Requirements:

• MS in Environmental/Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years in WTE (Waste-to-Energy) or landfill gas recovery.
• Familiarity with EPA CAMBI model for biogas yield prediction.
