This role is critical in ensuring accurate measurements and data collection to support our mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys and geodetic measurements to determine property boundaries, topography, and site conditions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate survey documentation, including maps, reports, and data files.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide survey data for project planning and execution.
- Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software (e.g., GPS, total stations, CAD) to collect and analyze data.
- Perform site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and feasibility studies by providing accurate survey information.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that surveying activities align with project timelines and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in surveying and geodesy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geodesy, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in surveying, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Leica, Trimble).
- Strong understanding of geodetic principles, land surveying techniques, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
