Your Impact – Core Responsibilities

- Design steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems for low- and mid-rise buildings that meet or exceed IBC and ASCE 7 provisions.  

- Perform linear, nonlinear, static, dynamic, and seismic analyses with ETABS, RISA-3D, SAP2000, and RAM.  

- Develop construction drawings, connection details, and specifications in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.  

- Evaluate existing structures, author condition assessment reports, and recommend rehabilitation strategies.  

- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals—issuing clarifications that keep fabrication on schedule.  

- Conduct periodic field observations to verify structural intent and mentor junior staff on inspection techniques.  

- Coordinate intimately with architecture, MEP, and civil teams to optimize load paths, cost, and constructability.  

- Maintain project documentation, schedules, and budgets while reporting progress to the Project Manager.  

- Champion BIM standards, parametric modeling, and cloud collaboration workflows to streamline team delivery.  


Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering.  

- 4+ years of progressive structural design experience in the U.S. built environment.  

- Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, RISA-3D, RAM Structural System, and Revit Structure.  

- In-depth knowledge of material mechanics, load calculations, and current building codes.  

- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required; active PE or SE licensure—or exam scheduled within 12 months—strongly preferred.  

- Fluent in written and spoken English; able to craft concise technical reports for non-technical stakeholders.  

- Command of project management principles: scope control, risk mitigation, and client communication.  


Preferred Extras

- Familiarity with performance-based seismic design, wind tunnel studies, or progressive collapse analysis.  

- Experience with parametric design scripts (Dynamo, Grasshopper) and API customization.  

- Evidence of published research, conference presentations, or professional society leadership.
