Structural BIM Engineer – Revit & Dynamo Expertise

Remotely
Full-time

Within a multidisciplinary consultancy renowned for innovative infrastructure, you will lead structural BIM delivery for bridges, mid-rise towers, industrial facilities—even unexpected one-off art installations. You create data-rich models, interrogate clashes, script automation, and convert complexity into constructible insight. Remote-first culture lets you contribute from any U.S. time zone while collaborating in real-time with architects, MEP designers, and field crews.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain LOD 350-400 structural Revit models that mirror design intent and fabrication reality.

- Coordinate live with architectural, MEPF and civil disciplines, running clash detection in Navisworks Manage and Solibri; document and resolve conflicts before they reach the site.

- Develop parametric families, re-usable templates and custom nodes in Dynamo to cut drafting time and prevent manual errors.

- Produce drawings, schedules and IFC export packages directly from the model—ensuring alignment with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) protocols.

- Automate repetitive calculations (rebar weight, member take-offs, embed locations) through Dynamo scripts linked to structural analysis data.

- Enforce naming conventions, shared parameters and cloud work-sharing rules across project teams.

- Mentor junior modelers and field engineers, translating VDC outputs into shop-friendly deliverables.

- Track model health: conduct audits, purge unused content, manage central file size, and secure data within BIM 360/ACC.

- Present weekly VDC snapshots to stakeholders, turning geometric data into persuasive visual stories that unlock approvals and funding.
