About the Role:

We are looking for a Solar Energy Engineer to design, model, and implement photovoltaic systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in solar PV technology, system optimization, and energy storage integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, floating solar) using PVsyst, Helioscope, or AutoCAD.
  • Conduct shading analysis, energy yield predictions, and financial modeling (LCOE, ROI).
  • Perform electrical load calculations and ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, and local codes.
  • Optimize system performance by selecting inverters, modules, and mounting structures.
  • Evaluate battery storage solutions (Li-ion, flow batteries) for hybrid solar systems.
  • Support permitting, interconnection applications, and construction oversight.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and recommend efficiency improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in solar PV design, installation, or project development.
  • Proficiency in PV modeling tools (PVsyst, SAM, PV*SOL).
  • Knowledge of NEC codes, grid interconnection standards, and net metering policies.
  • Familiarity with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and smart inverters.


Preferred Skills (Bonus):

  • NABCEP PV Certification or other solar credentials.
  • Experience with bifacial modules, trackers, or agrivoltaics.
  • Programming skills (Python, Excel macros) for automation.
