Solar Application Design Engineer

We're a solar equipment manufacturer - we make the inverters, racking, and modules that installers use every day. Your job is to be the bridge between our products and the people designing with them.

A typical week might look like this:

- Helping a sales rep close a deal by providing a technical deep-dive for a potential client.

- Running a webinar to train a group of installers on our new design software. Yes, you need to be comfortable presenting.

- Writing an application note for a tricky install scenario that keeps popping up.

- Digging into a customer's complex system design to troubleshoot an issue with them.

- Taking what you've learned from the field and sharing it directly with our R&D team. Your feedback actually goes somewhere.

Is this you?

- You have 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in solar PV system design. You've spent plenty of time in tools like PVSyst, HelioScope, or Aurora Solar.

- You've got an engineering degree. Electrical or Mechanical is ideal, but we're open to related fields if the experience is solid.

- You can explain technical concepts clearly. Think NEC code, UL standards, or inverter specs. You can talk to an engineer, a salesperson, or an installer and have them all understand you.

- You're customer-focused. You genuinely like helping people solve problems.

- Some experience with a CRM like Salesforce is a definite plus.

We'd be extra impressed if:

- You have a NABCEP certification (PV Installation Professional or Design Specialist).

- You've worked for another solar equipment manufacturer before. You get the business.

- You have experience with energy storage systems (ESS) and battery integration. That's a huge part of where the industry is headed.
