Senior Offshore Wind Engineer
You will apply your deep expertise in marine engineering, structural design, and project logistics to develop next-generation wind farms.
What the job actually looks like:
- Designing offshore foundations. Mostly monopiles and jackets, but we're actively exploring floating designs for deeper waters.
- Running the complex structural analysis for wind and wave loads. This is critical. You need to be confident in your results.
- Laying out subsea cable routes, balancing cost, install-risk, and environmental factors.
- Taking raw metocean data and turning it into clear design and operational parameters.
- Planning the logistics for offshore installation campaigns - thinking through vessel selection, weather windows, and the whole complex sequence.
- Making sure everything we design and build complies with marine standards like DNV and ABS. No shortcuts.
What we're looking for:
- You have 5-7+ years of experience in offshore engineering, with a clear focus on wind projects.
- You're an expert in at least one of the main industry simulation tools - Bladed, FAST, OrcaFlex, ANSYS Aqwa, or something comparable.
- You've used FEA software for serious structural analysis.
- Your background is in a relevant discipline. Civil, Structural, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You understand hydrodynamics and geotechnical engineering well enough to have productive arguments with the specialists.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and have a knack for solving problems that don't have a textbook answer.
