Key Responsibilities

- Translate complex customer requirements into robust robotic and automation system designs.

- Conduct comprehensive automation feasibility studies and site assessments to identify and propose optimal solutions.

- Design, develop, and present compelling proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations that showcase the value and viability of proposed systems to clients and stakeholders.

- Provide expert pre-sales technical support—acting as a trusted advisor—throughout the entire sales and project lifecycle.

- Create and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers on robot programming (for platforms like FANUC, KUKA, etc.), system operation, and preventative maintenance.

- Act as the primary technical point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with deployed robotic systems, providing both remote and on-site support.

- Manage the application development process from initial concept and feasibility through to final implementation, commissioning, and post-installation support.

- Collaborate closely with sales, systems engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery and complete customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related technical discipline.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in a similar capacity (e.g., Applications Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Field Service Engineer) within the industrial robotics sector.

- Demonstrated proficiency programming and integrating major industrial robot platforms—such as FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or Universal Robots.

- Substantial experience utilizing robotic simulation software (for instance, RoboDK, Process Simulate, or Visual Components) for cell design and cycle time analysis.

- Competency in 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or an equivalent program) for creating and interpreting system layouts and mechanical designs.

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven talent for dissecting complex industrial processes and engineering effective solutions.

- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; you must be confident and highly effective in a direct customer-facing capacity.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (especially Siemens or Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.

- Knowledge of integrating 2D or 3D machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for guidance, inspection, or quality control.

- Familiarity with a wide range of end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), gripper technologies, and sensor packages.

- Previous experience utilizing CRM software (like Salesforce) to manage customer interactions, project pipelines, and technical support cases.

- A strong foundational understanding of common manufacturing processes, including welding, material handling, assembly, palletizing, and machine tending.
