Full-time

We are a U.S.-based engineering consultancy focused on resilient transportation assets. Our portfolio spans state DOTs, municipal agencies, and private developers. Continuous learning, safety, and ethical practice underpin every engagement. Join us to modernize the nation’s pavement network—one lane-mile at a time.

Responsibilities

- Perform mechanistic-empirical design of new asphalt and concrete pavement structures for highways, airports, and commercial sites.

- Analyze existing pavement conditions with Falling Weight Deflectometer, GPR, and coring to diagnose failure modes and forecast service life.

- Build data-driven Pavement Management Systems—identify lifecycle priorities, optimize asset budgets, and present findings to stakeholders.

- Develop material specifications, asphalt and PCC mix designs, and lab testing plans aligned with latest AASHTO, ASTM, and FAA standards.

- Oversee field quality control during paving, rehabilitation, and resurfacing projects; verify compaction, smoothness, and binder content.

- Research emerging additives, recycled materials, and low-carbon binders; author white papers that justify pilot deployment.

- Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and interns, fostering a learning culture across distributed project teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Pavement or Materials Engineering preferred).

- 5+ years designing flexible and rigid pavement using AASHTO, StreetPave, KENPAVE or equivalent.

- Proficiency interpreting FWD deflection basins, GPR scans, and core logs; ability to translate results into rehabilitation strategies.

- Working knowledge of geotechnical investigation, drainage, and subgrade stabilization.

- Fluency with data analysis tools (Excel VBA, Python, or R) for PMS modeling and deterioration forecasting.

- Valid PE or ability to attain within 18 months.

- Strong written and verbal communication—craft technical reports and brief non-technical owners.

- Willingness to travel 15-25% for site assessments; otherwise remote or hybrid collaboration is available.

Preferred Qualifications

- Airport pavement experience under FAA AC 150/5320-6.

- Familiarity with life-cycle cost analysis and sustainable procurement frameworks (LEED, Envision).

- Experience supervising on-site QA/QC labs or third-party testing vendors.
