Who We Are

A privately held design-build innovator devoted to industrialized construction. Our multi-disciplinary team merges architecture, structural engineering, and manufacturing science to redefine the way America builds.

Your Role

As the Modular Building Engineer you transform architectural intent into factory-ready modules. You collaborate with architects, MEP designers, and plant technicians, ensuring every panel, frame, and connection survives transport, lifting, and lifelong loads.

Key Responsibilities

- Engineer volumetric and panelized modules in Revit, Inventor, and SolidWorks, applying *Design for Manufacturing and Assembly* at every step.

- Execute detailed structural calculations in RISA or equivalent to validate gravity, wind, seismic, and crane pick forces.

- Develop connection libraries for inter-module, floor-to-floor, and envelope interfaces, balancing speed, tolerance, and resilience.

- Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and low-voltage systems inside constrained module cavities while preserving fire-rating continuity.

- Optimize bill of materials and fabrication tolerances to cut waste, cycle time, and embodied carbon.

- Map transportation routes, lifting points, and rigging schemes; issue load-out drawings for carriers and onsite erection crews.

- Prepare sealed engineering packages that comply with state modular building programs, ICC-ES reports, and relevant ASTM standards.

- Mentor junior engineers and engage in design‐for‐process workshops with factory leads.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.

- 5+ years practising structural design, with at least 2 years on modular or prefabricated projects.

- Proficiency in Revit, SolidWorks or Inventor, BIM 360, and RISA (or SAP2000/STAAD).

- Deep knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and *state modular codes*.

- Proven ability to author concise calculation packages and shop drawings.

- Strong English communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination.

Preferred Skills

- PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

- Familiarity with cold-formed steel, mass timber, and hybrid assemblies.

- Experience integrating renewable-ready roofs, net-zero envelopes, and smart building sensors.

- Exposure to LEAN manufacturing, takt planning, and digital twin workflows.

Why This Opportunity

Modular construction is surging—offering reduced schedules, predictable quality, and lower carbon footprints. Join a forward-thinking firm that invests in R&D, encourages remote collaboration, and values leadership by expertise rather than hierarchy. You will shape iconic projects across education, healthcare, and multifamily sectors while championing safer jobsites and sustainable outcomes.
