Lead Design Engineer (Consumer Electronics)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to guide our team through the full product development lifecycle—from initial concept to mass production.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven background as a design engineer in consumer electronics development.
• Strong grasp of electronics principles (thermal dynamics, shielding, RF signal propagation).
• Proficiency in CAD software and PDM systems.
• Expertise in design documentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with top-down and bottom-up design methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in assembly design, interference checks, and manufacturability analysis.
• Knowledge of tolerancing, fits, and GD&T.
• Understanding of prototyping methods (additive & subtractive manufacturing).
• Experience with mass production processes (injection molding, metalworking, plastic welding, sealing, pressing, assembly).
• Track record of collaborating with manufacturers during production ramp-up.
• Preferred Skills (Bonus):
• Structural & thermal simulation experience (FEA, CFD).
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Experience in parametric & adaptive modeling.
• Developing testing protocols and validation methods.

Your Responsibilities:

• Define technical requirements for new product development.
• Lead and coordinate the design team.
• Optimize mechanical layouts and enclosure designs.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation.
• Travel to China for prototype validation (if needed).
