Responsibilities

- Prepare entitlement packages, zoning exhibits, and variance requests; attend virtual hearings when necessary.
- Coordinate horizontal and vertical control with survey teams and adjust models based on field data.
- Generate precise cost estimates, schedules, and bid documents that keep owners financially informed.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and as-builts during construction; resolve clashes before they escalate.
- Mentor junior designers, instill Civil 3D standards, and champion QA/QC procedures.
- Track regulatory changes in stormwater, ADA, and roadway criteria—proactively update design templates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and active PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- 6 + years of progressive land development experience in the United States.
- Mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D corridors, surfaces, and pipe networks.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS for spatial analyses and utility coordination.
- Hands-on familiarity with Bluebeam for cloud-based markups and plan sets.
- Demonstrated success securing permits from county and city agencies.
- Strong written and spoken communication—craft clear engineering reports and present to nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- LEED, Envision, or ENV SP credential.
- Expertise in renewable energy site design (solar arrays, battery storage pads).
- Knowledge of traffic impact studies and roadway geometrics.
- BIM 360 or ProjectWise collaboration experience.
