Key Responsibilities

- Spearhead the complete project lifecycle for large-scale HVAC installations, from initial planning and budgeting through final commissioning and client handover.

- Direct the financial performance of your assigned projects, meticulously tracking costs, managing budgets, and delivering comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership.

- Mastermind the project schedule using sophisticated tools like Primavera P6, ensuring all milestones are met and proactively mitigating potential delays through strategic planning.

- Serve as the primary technical liaison between design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and the end client, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on all project specifications.

- Champion rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on-site, conducting regular inspections to guarantee that all installation work meets or exceeds engineering standards and contractual obligations.

- Drive the procurement and logistics for all mechanical equipment and materials, negotiating with vendors and managing submittal processes to ensure timely delivery to the job site.

- Uphold and enforce stringent safety protocols across all project activities, fostering a culture of safety-first to ensure an incident-free work environment for all personnel.

- Orchestrate a seamless project closeout process. This includes managing all final documentation, from as-built drawings and O&M manuals to punch lists and warranty information.

- Navigate complex contract administration with precision, expertly managing Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, and payment applications to protect project interests.


Core Qualifications & Skills

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical discipline is required.

- You possess 5-7+ years of progressive experience as a Project Engineer, specifically focused on large-scale commercial, institutional, or industrial HVAC construction projects.

- Demonstrated mastery of core project management principles is non-negotiable… scope, schedule, and budget control are second nature to you.

- High-level proficiency with industry-standard software is essential for success. This includes deep, hands-on experience with project management platforms like Procore and advanced scheduling software such as Primavera P6.

- Expertise in document management, markup, and collaboration using Bluebeam Revu is a must. Significant familiarity with other platforms, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, is a considerable advantage.

- You have the ability to fluently interpret complex mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications, primarily through AutoCAD and Revit (for viewing and analysis).

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are paramount, supported by a proven history of effectively managing subcontractors, vendors, and client expectations in high-pressure situations.

- You have a problem-solver's mindset; you do not simply identify issues—you architect robust, practical solutions that keep the project moving forward.

- A strong, practical understanding of contract administration, including the nuanced management of RFIs, submittals, and change orders, is fundamental to this position.

- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a highly desirable credential that will set you apart.
