Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain accurate project schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6, updating look-ahead plans weekly.  

- Control project budgets, analyse cost variances and issue early warnings to leadership.  

- Review HVAC submittals, RFIs and change orders; drive prompt resolution to protect scope.  

- Coordinate equipment procurement—chillers, AHUs, VAV boxes, controls—ensuring on-time delivery.  

- Lead construction meetings, issue concise minutes, track action items to closure.  

- Verify on-site installation quality against contract drawings and ASHRAE standards.  

- Oversee job-site safety compliance; champion zero-incident culture.  

- Manage project closeout documentation, O&M manuals, punch lists and warranty turnover.  


Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.  

- 4+ years’ experience as an HVAC Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Engineer on $5M+ commercial projects.  

- Proven proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu and ERP cost modules.  

- Competence in interpreting AutoCAD/Revit MEP drawings.  

- Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, vendors and subcontractors.  

- Solid grasp of load calculations, psychrometrics and duct/pipe sizing fundamentals.  

- US work authorization.  


Preferred Extras

- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT credential.  

- LEED AP or WELL Building accreditation.  

- Familiarity with prefabrication workflows and BIM 360 coordination.  

- Experience acting as Owner’s Representative on fast-track EPC projects.  

- Spanish proficiency for trade communication.
