Responsibilities  

- Lead ASHRAE Level I-III and investment-grade energy audits—onsite or remotely supported.  

- Build calibrated energy models in EnergyPlus, eQUEST, TRACE 3D Plus, and IES VE to quantify savings scenarios.  

- Design, size, and specify advanced HVAC solutions (VRF, geothermal, DOAS, heat-recovery chillers) for new and retrofit projects.  

- Develop Measurement & Verification plans under IPMVP and track post-installation performance with data loggers and power analyzers.  

- Present ROI, NPV, and life-cycle cost analyses to C-suite and facilities teams, translating technical findings into business value.  

- Support LEED, WELL, and ENERGY STAR certifications by documenting credits, performing envelope testing, and integrating renewable energy.  

- Optimize existing central plants and BAS controls through retro-commissioning, fault detection analytics, and continuous monitoring.  

- Mentor junior engineers; cultivate a knowledge-sharing culture across cross-disciplinary project teams.  


Your Profile  

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Science.  

- 5+ years focused on HVAC performance, energy modeling, and sustainable design.  

- Proficiency with EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES VE, and data acquisition hardware; Python or VBA scripting a plus.  

- Deep understanding of ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 55, and 211; versed in IECC, NFPA 90A, and local stretch codes.  

- Demonstrated success delivering 20 %+ energy reductions across commercial, healthcare, or higher-education portfolios.  

- Exceptional communication—able to distill complex thermodynamics into concise executive briefs.  

- EIT or PE license preferred; CEM, LEED AP, or BEMP certifications highly valued.  

- Authorized to work in the United States; ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment.

- Field instrumentation: wireless data loggers, ultrasonic flow meters, power analyzers.
