Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Controls Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance of HVAC controls, including smart thermostats, VAV systems, and energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and commission HVAC control systems (e.g., Siemens Desigo, Honeywell EBI, Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure).
Program and troubleshoot DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems, PLCs, and BACnet/IP protocols.
Integrate HVAC controls with Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT-based smart thermostats.
Perform system diagnostics, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
Collaborate with MEP engineers, electricians, and project managers to ensure seamless system integration.
Read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction plans.
Ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED, ISO 50001).

Requirements:

Technical diploma in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC controls, BMS, or automation systems.
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or KNX protocols.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA systems.
Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and control system software.
Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting HVAC control failures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in HVAC controls (e.g., Niagara AX/N4, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider).
Experience in construction sites and working with MEP contractors.
Understanding of energy management and IoT-based HVAC solutions.
