Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to consulting engineers, guiding them through the intricate process of equipment selection and application for complex HVAC systems.
- Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and training seminars that clearly articulate product value and functionality to diverse audiences... from field technicians to design principals.
- Generate precise equipment selections, configurations, and detailed price quotations using proprietary manufacturer software and modern CRM platforms (like Salesforce).
- Diligently analyze project plans, blueprints, and engineering specifications—utilizing tools such as Bluebeam Revu—to identify and cultivate sales opportunities.
- Act as the first line of defense in troubleshooting challenging post-sale application and integration issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal system performance.
- Function as a critical liaison between the factory's engineering team and the end-customer, facilitating seamless communication and resolving technical inquiries with authority and precision.
Core Qualifications & Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as an HVAC applications engineer, technical sales representative, or design engineer within the commercial HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated, in-depth technical knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment—including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), VRF/VRV systems, and packaged rooftop units.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a proven talent for translating complex technical concepts into persuasive, client-facing narratives.
- A strong aptitude for technical sales and business development, characterized by a consultative approach and a relentless drive to exceed targets.
- An unwavering commitment to superior customer service and building long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and partners.
- Solid understanding of fundamental HVAC system design principles, psychrometrics, and relevant ASHRAE standards (e.g., 62.1, 90.1).
- High proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and digital takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam Revu) is highly desirable for this position.
