Drive HVAC system success as an HVAC Applications Engineer and Sales Specialist. You will pair deep equipment expertise with persuasive communication to guide consulting engineers and contractors toward the right solutions—often from a remote office—while growing revenue and customer trust.

In this role you translate load calculations, plans, and specs into accurate equipment selections, compelling quotations, and training sessions that win projects nationwide. Key Responsibilities  

- Analyze mechanical drawings, sequences of operation, and energy codes to specify chillers, air handlers, VRF, DOAS, and hydronic components.  

- Create detailed performance selections using manufacturer software, then convert them into firm budgetary quotes within CRM.  

- Present technical lunch-and-learns, webinars, and factory-certified seminars that elevate the consultant’s design confidence.  

- Identify value-engineering alternatives that improve efficiency and lower installed cost, positioning our line as the preferred basis-of-design.  

- Review bid schedules daily to uncover new opportunities and prioritize pursuits with the sales team.  

- Troubleshoot field application issues—airflow imbalance, condensation, control integration—working closely with contractors and factory engineering.  

- Craft complete submittal packages: schedules, performance tables, wiring diagrams, IOM excerpts.  

- Act as a bilingual liaison (engineering and commercial) between customer, internal product managers, and manufacturing to keep deliverables on track.  


Required Qualifications  

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent HVAC technology discipline.  

- 4+ years in HVAC equipment application, design, or technical sales.  

- Mastery of selection platforms (e.g., Carrier HAP, Daikin VRV, Trane Trace, or similar) and Bluebeam Revu for markups.  

- Proven command of psychrometrics, refrigeration cycles, and ASHRAE 62.1/90.1 compliance.  

- Clear, confident public-speaking style; comfortable addressing audiences of 5 to 50 professionals.  

- CRM literacy—price book management, opportunity pipeline, and forecasting.  

- Citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.  


Preferred Skills  

- LEED Green Associate or PE licensure.  

- Familiarity with Salesforce automation and API-driven quotation tools.  

- Experience supporting renewable-ready HVAC solutions such as heat-pump chillers and geothermal loops.  

- Spanish proficiency for contractor outreach.
