Green Energy Engineer – Corporate Renewable Procurement & Strategy
Drive corporate renewable energy procurement, LEED-aligned design, and carbon reduction as a Green Energy Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utility-scale and behind-the-meter PPA/VPPA analyses—model cash flow, risk, and hedging.
- Design integrated solar, wind, storage, and electrification solutions for offices, fleets, and industrial sites.
- Perform GHG inventories in line with the GHG Protocol; identify scope 1-3 abatement pathways.
- Develop energy models in SAM, Homer Pro, and Excel—translate outputs into board-ready insights.
- Guide LEED certification efforts: energy budgets, daylighting, envelope optimization.
- Craft sustainability reports (GRI, SASB)—quantify progress, outline next-step KPIs.
- Manage cross-functional project teams and external EPC partners—keep milestones, budgets, and quality intact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering.
- 5+ years designing renewable or green-building energy systems in the U.S. market.
- Proven record closing corporate PPAs or VPPAs ≥ 20 MW.
- Fluency with SAM, Homer Pro, utility interconnection studies, and energy-market tariffs.
- Solid grasp of carbon-accounting standards, LEED v4.1, and electrification codes.
- Analytical horsepower—advanced Excel or Python for Monte-Carlo and sensitivity analyses.
- Clear communicator; capable of translating technical findings into executive-level strategy.

How to Stand Out
- PMP or PE license.
