About the role:
We seek an Energy Modeler to analyze and optimize renewable energy systems using advanced simulation tools. You’ll support solar, wind, and storage project development by predicting energy output, financial viability, and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct energy yield assessments for solar/wind projects using PVsyst, SAM, or WindPro.
- Model building energy performance (e.g., EnergyPlus, RETScreen) for commercial/utility-scale projects.
- Analyze grid integration and storage solutions (HOMER Pro, Aurora).
- Prepare reports on LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy), carbon savings, and ROI.
- Collaborate with engineers to align models with design specs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- 3+ years modeling renewable energy systems (solar/wind/storage).
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R for data automation (preferred).
- Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS) and SQL databases.
- Certifications like LEED AP, CEM, or NABCEP (a plus).
