Key Responsibilities

- Define and manage the complete lifecycle of system-level requirements, from initial capture and analysis to final validation, utilizing industry-standard tools.

- Architect robust and scalable electronic system designs for complex products in sectors like aerospace, robotics, and automotive systems.

- Create and maintain critical system documentation, including system block diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and technical specifications.

- Develop and execute comprehensive system integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) plans to ensure products meet stringent performance and quality standards.

- Lead and conduct detailed trade-off studies to determine the optimal technical path forward, balancing cost, schedule, and performance.

- Manage interfaces and dependencies between diverse subsystems—including hardware, firmware, and application software—to guarantee seamless interoperability.

- Drive the troubleshooting of complex, cross-functional technical issues that arise during development, integration, and testing phases.

- Oversee the technical integrity of the project, providing guidance and ensuring that engineering best practices are followed throughout the development cycle.


Core Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field. A Master's degree is highly advantageous.

- A minimum of seven years of professional experience in a systems engineering role, with a strong focus on electronics-heavy products.

- Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering, including definition, management, and traceability for complex systems.

- Profound understanding of system architecture principles and the ability to design systems for high-reliability applications (e.g., aerospace, medical devices).

- Proven ability to lead integration and testing efforts, with hands-on experience in system-level validation and verification.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about intricate technical challenges. You thrive on resolving ambiguity.

- Superb cross-functional communication and leadership abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with hardware, software, and project management teams.


Technical Proficiency

- You are highly proficient with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or Jama Connect.

- You have significant experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (SysML, Cameo, Enterprise Architect).

- You possess hands-on skills with engineering simulation and analysis software like MATLAB/Simulink.

- Familiarity with test and measurement platforms, such as NI LabVIEW, is a significant plus.

- Experience working within an Agile framework and using project management tools like JIRA and Confluence is expected.
