Electronics Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and audit Quality Control Plans for new and legacy electronics.
- Lead supplier quality engineering activities: qualification, PPAP, APQP, and ongoing scorecards.
- Conduct data-driven Root Cause Analysis using 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and fault-tree tools; manage CAPA to closure.
- Implement statistical process control and capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
- Champion compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
- Facilitate FMEA and design-for-reliability reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Manage non-conforming material through MRB and disposition workflows.
- Present weekly defect trends and cost-of-poor-quality metrics to executive leadership.
- Coach operators and engineers on Lean Six Sigma and mistake-proofing techniques.
- Drive digital QMS improvements—workflow automation, dashboarding, and risk traceability.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
- 5+ years in electronics manufacturing quality, including supplier development.
- Demonstrated mastery of CAPA, SPC, MSA, and gauge R&R.
- Hands-on experience with Minitab or JMP for statistical analysis.
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610/620, J-STD-001, or similar workmanship standards.
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Strong communication skills—able to persuade shop-floor staff and executive teams alike.
Nice-to-Have Extras
- Six Sigma Black or Green Belt.
- Exposure to automotive or medical‐device regulatory frameworks (IATF 16949, ISO 13485).
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and ECN processes.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed or remote suppliers.
