Electrical Systems Engineer
Join a forward-thinking organization at the forefront of innovation in large-scale technology projects. We are a dynamic team of dedicated professionals committed to solving the industry's most complex challenges and engineering the future. Our culture champions collaboration, fosters continuous learning, and provides the autonomy you need to make a significant and lasting impact on groundbreaking products.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the definition, analysis, and management of complex electrical system requirements using established frameworks like the V-Model.
- Architect and develop robust, scalable system-level designs from the ground up, ensuring seamless integration between intricate electrical components, embedded software, and complex mechanical subsystems.
- Establish and maintain meticulous Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to govern all logical and physical interactions between multiple subsystems, guaranteeing compatibility and interoperability.
- Conduct comprehensive trade studies and in-depth analyses to rigorously evaluate design alternatives—optimizing for critical factors such as performance, power consumption, cost, and long-term reliability.
- Direct all system-level integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) testing efforts. You will be responsible for creating test plans and procedures to ensure the final product meets all functional, performance, and safety objectives.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Your foresight will be crucial in ensuring the system's ultimate success from initial concept to full-scale deployment.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- A minimum of five years of proven professional experience as a Systems Engineer or Integration Engineer, with a strong focus on complex electrical systems.
- Demonstrable expertise in requirements management, including elicitation, decomposition, traceability, and validation across the entire project lifecycle.
- Substantial hands-on experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and methodologies to real-world projects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard systems engineering tools (such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM DOORS, or similar platforms) for modeling and requirements management.
- A deep understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and its various process models.
Preferred Skills & Expertise
- A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline is highly regarded.
- Professional experience within safety-critical industries like aerospace (familiarity with DO-178/DO-254) or automotive (familiarity with ISO 26262).
- Advanced proficiency in SysML for creating detailed and comprehensive system models.
- Competency with circuit simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, Ansys) for performance prediction and validation.
- Valuable scripting skills, particularly in Python or MATLAB, used for test automation, data analysis, and model manipulation.
