Electrical Design Engineer

Remotely
Full-time

You will be part of an innovative and collaborative organization dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology. We are committed to engineering excellence and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Our projects are challenging, impactful, and at the forefront of the industry, providing a stimulating environment for passionate engineers to thrive and create truly remarkable products.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate complex system requirements into detailed electrical schematics and specifications for robust hardware solutions.

- Execute intricate, multi-layer PCB layout and design, with a relentless focus on signal integrity, power distribution networks (PDN), and design for manufacturability (DFM).

- Perform meticulous component selection, lifetime analysis, and comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) management and optimization.

- Conduct rigorous circuit simulations (using SPICE), worst-case analysis, and tolerance stack-ups to guarantee design performance.

- Ensure all designs meet—and exceed—stringent EMC/EMI compliance and other relevant industry standards (e.g., IPC, UL, CE).

- Lead the hands-on prototyping, board bring-up, and systematic debugging of new hardware boards and integrated systems.

- Collaborate closely with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless and efficient embedded systems integration.

- Generate comprehensive, crystal-clear fabrication and assembly documentation for our manufacturing partners.

Core Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a closely related technical field is required; a Master's degree is a significant plus.

- A minimum of five years of professional experience in a role such as Electrical Design Engineer or Hardware Engineer.

- A proven track record of successfully taking multiple complex designs from the initial concept all the way through to mass production.

- Deep, intuitive understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design principles and their real-world applications.

- Experience thriving within cross-functional teams, potentially in an agile development environment.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with a meticulous attention to every detail... no matter how small.

Technical Proficiencies

- Advanced proficiency with at least one major ECAD suite—*Altium Designer is highly preferred*.

- Professional experience with other industry-standard design tools such as OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, or KiCad is beneficial.

- Competency in simulation software like LTspice, PSpice, or similar SPICE-based tools for circuit validation.

- Working knowledge of MATLAB or Python for data analysis, test automation, and scripting is a distinct advantage.

- Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers for testing and validation.
