Civil Engineer – Infrastructure & Site Development (PE Preferred)
You will guide multidisciplinary design efforts for roadways, grading, drainage, and utility corridors. Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and HEC-RAS, you transform concepts into buildable plans. The position supports *hybrid or fully remote* work, empowering you to collaborate from anywhere while remaining deeply engaged with field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce site layouts, profiles, and construction drawings that comply with state and federal codes.
- Model stormwater systems, floodplains, and hydraulic structures—optimize capacity, reduce risk.
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and bid schedules.
- Lead permitting strategy; secure approvals from environmental, transportation, and municipal agencies.
- Oversee contractors during construction, resolve RFIs, validate field changes.
- Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, architects, and utility companies.
- Conduct site inspections; author punch lists and compliance reports.
- Mentor junior staff and enforce QA/QC procedures.
- Track scope, budget, and schedule in MS Project; deliver on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of progressive infrastructure or land-development design experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and Bluebeam.
- Solid grasp of drainage, grading, roadway geometry, and utility coordination.
- Working knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and local jurisdiction standards.
- Strong technical writing—clear reports, persuasive memos, concise specifications.
- PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Excellent verbal communication; you translate complex data for non-engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or graduate coursework in hydrology, transportation, or construction management.
- Experience on Design-Build or CM/GC delivery methods.
- Familiarity with BIM collaboration platforms and cloud-based GIS portals.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
