Circuit Design Engineer – Analog & Mixed-Signal PCB/IC Expert

Remotely
Full-time

We are a mid-sized, engineer-led product incubator. Cross-functional squads of electrical, mechanical, and firmware specialists collaborate in real time through cloud CAD and remote test labs—so your zip code never limits your impact.

Responsibilities

- Deliver complete circuit topologies for analog, digital, and mixed-signal blocks from concept to tape-out/PCB release.

- Execute SPICE, Monte Carlo, and worst-case simulations to validate timing, power, and noise margins.

- Select components, optimize BOM cost, and negotiate lead times with supply-chain analysts.

- Guide PCB layout engineers on placement, routing, impedance control, and power integrity.

- Plan and conduct bench validation using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and high-speed probes.

- Debug prototypes, isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions swiftly.

- Document design decisions, test results, and compliance evidence for FCC, CE, and ISO audits.

- Mentor junior designers, share EE best practices, and present reviews to stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.

- 5+ years hands-on circuit design in semiconductors, consumer electronics, or aerospace.

- Mastery of Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or Mentor Xpedition for schematics and layout collaboration.

- Fluent with SPICE engines (LTspice, Spectre), MATLAB, and signal-integrity tools.

- Deep knowledge of analog building blocks—op-amps, PLLs, LDO regulators, filters, data converters.

- Familiarity with high-speed serial protocols (PCIe, USB-C, DDR4) and EMC mitigation.

- Proven debugging prowess using oscilloscopes to 6 GHz, VNAs, and logic analyzers.

- Clear, concise English communication; able to explain trade-offs to non-EE peers.

Desirable Extras

- Experience with low-power IoT wearables or implantable medical devices.

- Exposure to ASIC/SoC design flows and Verilog-AMS behavioral modeling.

- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and automated test fixture development.

- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications.
