Responsibilities overview:


  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks & AutoCAD for stamped, welded, and injection-molded automotive parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure designs meet cost, weight, and performance targets.
  • Perform FEA simulations (ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation) to validate structural integrity.
  • Apply GD&T standards to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
  • Support prototype builds and troubleshoot design-related production issues.


Qualifications we are looking:


  • MA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of CAD design experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (CSWP preferred), AutoCAD, and PLM systems (Teamcenter or Windchill).
  • Strong knowledge of DFM, DFA, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and weldment design.
