Full-time

We are a leading-edge, multi-disciplinary consulting firm celebrated for our innovative approach to complex engineering challenges. Our portfolio spans significant commercial, residential, and institutional projects where we prioritize sustainable and resilient design. Our culture is built on collaboration, continuous learning, and empowering our engineers to achieve excellence in every project—consistently pushing the boundaries of modern structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and design comprehensive gravity and lateral force-resisting systems for a variety of complex, multi-story building structures.

- Conduct sophisticated structural analysis, modeling the dynamic effects of high-wind and seismic events in accordance with the latest ASCE 7 standards.

- Engineer robust and efficient foundation systems—from shallow footings to deep piles and mat foundations—utilizing software like SAFE for precise calculations and optimization.

- Serve as the structural engineering lead, collaborating intensively with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated, clash-free designs through a BIM-centric workflow.

- Guarantee all structural designs strictly adhere to the latest International Building Code (IBC) and relevant state or local amendments, ensuring full compliance and safety.

- Oversee and perform special structural inspections during the construction phase to verify compliance with design documents and uncompromising quality standards.

- Demonstrate mastery in designing with diverse materials, including structural steel (AISC 360), reinforced concrete (ACI 318), post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry.

- Execute detailed structural condition assessments and due diligence reports for existing buildings, identifying key needs for renovation, adaptive reuse, or seismic retrofitting.

Core Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a Master's degree focused on Structural Engineering is highly preferred.

- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license in at least one U.S. state is strongly desired.

- A minimum of 7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in structural design for buildings, preferably within an A/E consulting or dedicated structural engineering firm.

- Advanced proficiency with industry-standard structural analysis software, including ETABS, RISA-3D, RAM Structural System, and SAFE.

- Expert-level skills in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and the creation of construction documents using Autodesk Revit Structure.

- In-depth, practical knowledge of current building codes and design standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360.

- Proven project experience in performance-based seismic design and retrofitting, particularly for structures in high-seismicity regions.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a documented history of resolving complex structural challenges with innovative solutions.

- Superior communication skills, possessing the ability to articulate intricate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, clients, and review boards.

What You Will Achieve

- Lead the full structural design lifecycle for high-profile commercial, institutional, and residential buildings that define community skylines.

- Play a pivotal role in critical seismic retrofitting projects, enhancing the safety, value, and longevity of essential private and public infrastructure.

- Conduct thorough due diligence and condition assessments that directly inform multi-million dollar decisions in real estate development and investment.

- Act as a subject matter expert in peer review services, upholding the highest standards of the profession by ensuring the quality and integrity of designs from other firms.

- Drive innovation in tenant improvement and adaptive reuse projects, reimagining and transforming existing structures for new and exciting purposes.
