Drive smart-building performance as a BMS Engineer. Leverage Niagara Framework, BACnet, and advanced HVAC control logic to design, program, and commission energy-saving Building Management Systems for high-profile facilities across the U.S.


Responsibilities  

- Engineer end-to-end Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) architecture—controllers, networks, sensors, supervisory servers.  

- Develop, test, and deploy control logic for HVAC, lighting, and security subsystems using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols.  

- Program graphical user interfaces that enable facility teams to visualize KPIs, alarms, and energy dashboards in real time.  

- Integrate disparate OEM equipment (ALC, Johnson Controls, Siemens Desigo CC) into a unified smart-building platform.  

- Conduct on-site and remote commissioning, functional performance testing, and troubleshooting until hand-over.  

- Craft and document energy-optimization strategies that cut consumption, peak demand, and carbon footprint.  

- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and IT stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity, network resilience, and regulatory compliance.  

- Mentor junior controls technicians and deliver client training sessions that maximize system adoption.  


Required Qualifications  

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Automation.  

- 4+ years designing and programming BMS/BAS for commercial or industrial facilities.  

- Proficiency with Niagara Framework, Tridium AX/N4 station engineering, and HTML5 graphic libraries.  

- Hands-on experience integrating HVAC equipment, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and lighting controls via BACnet/IP & MS/TP.  

- Strong command of control sequences, PID tuning, and sensor calibration.  

- Ability to analyze energy data, build baselines, and quantify ROI for retro-commissioning measures.  

- Fluent in network topologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN) and cybersecurity best practices for OT environments.  

- Excellent communication skills—translate technical details into clear, actionable insights.  


Preferred Skills  

- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED accreditation.  

- Familiarity with cloud analytics, MQTT, RESTful APIs, and edge computing for IoT devices.  

- Experience with power monitoring, demand response, and utility rebate programs.
