Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Architect and engineer robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable software frameworks for cutting-edge autonomous platforms—including both ground vehicles and aerial drones.
- Develop, implement, and rigorously test state-of-the-art algorithms for multi-sensor fusion—integrating data from LiDAR, RADAR, IMU, and high-resolution cameras—to create a comprehensive environmental model.
- Design and deploy sophisticated path planning, navigation, and decision-making logic using advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) models.
- Conduct exhaustive simulation, validation, and testing of autonomous behaviors in high-fidelity virtual environments (such as CARLA or AirSim) to guarantee system performance and safety before real-world deployment.
- Ensure strict adherence to and implementation of functional safety standards, particularly ISO 26262 for automotive applications, throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate intensively with cross-functional hardware and software teams to seamlessly integrate perception, planning, and control subsystems into a cohesive and high-performing system.
- Optimize system software for real-time performance and efficiency on specialized embedded hardware platforms, pushing the boundaries of computational performance.
- Investigate and pioneer novel approaches to solve complex challenges in autonomous navigation, including behavior in unstructured environments and interaction with dynamic agents.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree (PhD is a strong plus) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrable professional experience architecting and developing software for complex autonomous systems, self-driving vehicles, or advanced robotics projects.
- Exceptional programming proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) and Python, utilized for algorithm development, system integration, and data analysis.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2) is considered a fundamental requirement for this position.
- A deep, practical understanding of machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to computer vision, perception tasks, or behavioral cloning.
- Strong theoretical and applied knowledge of sensor fusion techniques, probabilistic robotics, state estimation, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
- Proven experience with simulation environments (CARLA, AirSim, Gazebo) and proficiency with modern software development tools, including Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with critical functional safety standards like ISO 26262 or aerospace equivalent DO-178C is highly advantageous.
