Redesign and Fabrication of Steam Turbine NDE Thrust Bearing Carrier
• Led the mechanical redesign and optimization of a steam turbine NDE thrust bearing carrier to enhance durability and load distribution. • Conducted Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to validate structural integrity and optimize material selection. • Developed detailed 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks for precision manufacturing. • Supervised the fabrication and machining process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and tolerance requirements. • Improved turbine operational efficiency, reducing wear and extending service life.
Conversion of internal combustion vehicle to Electric.
I served as the group leader during our final year project, where I took charge of conducting research and overseeing hands-on fabrication activities. I was responsible for preparing 3D models and performing FEA analysis on the chassis to ensure its structural integrity. Additionally, I prepared detailed reports to document our progress and results.
Redesign and Fabrication of Special Alignment Tool Jig
I played a key role in the project, where I was responsible for conducting precise measurements and performing tolerance calculations. I also created the 3D model using SolidWorks, ensuring the design met all specifications. Additionally, I supervised the entire machining process, overseeing the production to ensure quality and accuracy throughout.
