● I prepared drainage reports for submittal to city, county, state, and federal agencies.
● Hydrological Analysis: I performed watershed analyses utilizing SCS Synthetic Hydrograph and rational method.
● Letter of Map Amendment, LOMC: I assembled and submitted several LOMR applications amending the FIRM removing properties from the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA).
● Analysis of Floodplains and River Systems: I calculated flow characteristics of rivers to determine floodplain boundaries and determined base flood elevations for proposed developments within or near the regulatory floodway.
● Design of Drainage Facilities: I sized many sand and grease traps, seepage beds (both standard & horizontal), grassy basins, basins with forebays, bioretention swales, etc. for residential and commercial developments.
● Report Writing: I composed many stormwater management reports presenting the drainage system design as well as operations and maintenance manuals for the care of the drainage facilities.
● Design of Storm Drain Structures and Systems: I designed many storm sewers, inlet structures, channels, culverts, retention/detention basins, siltation basins, energy dissipaters, impact basins, spillways, weirs, sump pumps, bleeders, etc. for numerous projects.
● Oversight of Construction Plan Production: I directed engineering draftsmen in grading plan design and stormwater facility details for residential subdivisions, checked, signed, and stamped plans.
● Spreadsheet Design: I wrote many spreadsheet-based programs to expedite hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design.
