● Lead the Energy Management team to identify energy and decarbonization projects through develop business cases for leadership’s approval. Projects span from housekeeping measures to complex capital projects for various building archetypes including offices, community and recreation centers etc. ● Coordinate with Capital Planning team in reviewing Facilities Asset Management System to develop pipeline of energy projects aligning with life cycle renewal timeline. ● Advise Design and Construction team on developing project scope aligned with energy management standards and climate policies and support with project management activities including coordinating with consultants, vendors and contractors for energy-related projects. ● Coordinate with vendors, building operators and custodian staffs to ensure building automation systems (BAS) are running with efficient and effective schedule according to energy conservation best practices. ● Maintain liaise between six service areas, the management and the Council. Advise on energy conservation and GHG reduction techniques for existing and new building. Support development of energy related policies as subject-matter expert including Climate Emergency Action Plan, Net-Zero Goal by 2045 and Climate Lens for continuous improvement. ● Prepare utility budget forecast and negotiate contracts with the utility companies for utility procurement at the optimum rate based on building operations type. ● Regularly collaborate with government, non-government stakeholders, and utilities to build relationship and to keep updated about programs, and resources including grants and incentives to support energy projects. Successfully secured seven grants funding worth $5 million. ● Manage the direct reports (Energy Analysts) including assigning tasks, supervising and mentoring, providing feedback and guidance to support them grow professionally.

● Paid utility bill using the utility management software, EnergyCAP and financial management software, JD Edwards, enhanced automation for bill payment to ensure timely and accurate payment of approx. 1,000 utility accounts across over 290 municipal buildings and facilities. ● Maintained energy database, analyzed monthly and interval data to flag anomalies and troubleshoot deficiencies through coordinating with municipal maintenance and operations staff. ● Compile load profile and prepare energy models using the software RETScreen which supported eight energy efficiency projects through benchmarking and Measurement and Verification (M&V). ● Conducted energy audits and feasibility studies and worked with consultants to prepare investment - grade energy audit reports that supported business cases for two energy conservation projects.

● Managed three of the largest accounts from Canada and USA that contributed towards 70% of the total sales in 2019-2020. Liaised with industries and banks including the State Bank resulted in adoption of energy efficiency financing scheme by the Government. ● Trained partners from industries and financial institutions including engineers, financiers, public sector employees and trade organizations at 14 workshops and seminars on energy efficiency and financing resulted in increased interest from these partners in considering energy projects.

● Conducted energy audits including collecting data from steel and textile industries following ASHRAE guidelines. Identified and calculated energy savings potentials of over 30 energy efficiency projects. ● Educated clients on energy efficiency and helped them develop strategies to improve energy performance at their industrial facilities. Supported them with incentive fund applications resulting in successful implementation of 10 energy efficiency projects in steel and textile industries.
