Design and Development of Low Cost Energy-Efficient Ceiling Fan Motor.
● Designed and developed a 35 W ceiling fan Single Phase Induction Motor with indigenous materials with prototype support from Havells India Pvt. Ltd. under a joint project [3].
● Design optimization for low power consumption with standard air delivery as per Indian Standard 374 and Bureau of Energy Efficiency using the FEA and statistical robust design methods.
● Development of test bed for measurement of the output torque and power of the ceiling fan motor.
Design and Development of Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SynRM).
● Design of 4 Pole line-start SynRM using transient FEA rated for 7.5 hp for fixed speed operation.
● Design optimization of SynRM for solar water pumping rated for 3 hp.
● Development of SynRM based solar water pumping system with grid interactive features.
● Prototyping supported by Shakti Pumps India Limited.
Design and Development of Solar Water Pumping Systems Using Induction Motor Drive.
● Scalar control based MPPT tracking of the induction motor drive (IMD) system using sine PWM with third harmonic injection.
● Design and development of single phase and three phase grid interactive solar water pumping system using IMD with power quality correction at AC mains.
● Complete firmware was designed, developed, tested, verified at Shakti Pumps India Limited facility in Pithampur, Indore.
Position Sensorless Control of Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SynRM).
● Development of Sensorless (rotor position sensor) algorithm for vector control (FOC) of a 4kW SynRM using reduced number of sensors (two for motor line currents and one DC link voltage sensor).
● dSPACE Micro-LabBox (1202) was used for development of the control schemes.
